3) Your Essential Literary terms exercises for Tropes are due on Monday
4) Your MWDS and Paper for LOTF is due on Wednesday of next week.

2) Seminar on "The Hills like White Elephants"
3) Create Apples to Apples deck

Tonight:
1) Make sure you update your poetry response by midnight tonight
2) Complete the Essential Lit assignments for Imagery, symbolism,and atmosphere (we will discuss them on Monday)
3) Make sure that you have read through page 108 in Lord of the Flies by Tuesday

2) Discuss "Evening Hawk"
3) Review Essays for their strengths and weaknesses and score them
4) Review your own diagnostic essay
5) Begin a short lesson on style (see attached document)

Tonight:
1) Review the rest of the style document so that we can review it tomorrow
2) Read "Hills Like White Elephants" by Hemmingway to prepare for the seminar tomorrow
3) Complete your poetry response for Friday at midnight. Make sure that you have sent me a document before then so I can make sure that the technology works for you.

2) Seminar Procedure (see attached handout)
​3) First practice seminar on "The Garden Party"
​4) Read Foster's interpretation of "The Garden Party" (see both the story and the interpretation in the document attached)

Tonight:
​1) Read the example essays and grade them based on the 9 point scale that is included. We will be discussing this at the beginning of the class tomorrow.
